Rouwaida Attieh was born on July 1, 1982 in the city of Talkalakh, Homs Governorate, in Syria, to a Syrian father and an Egyptian mother. She participated in the Super Star competition on Future TV and won second place, when she was 19 years old in 2003. Her voice is distinguished by strength and originality, and it is of a rare type, similar to the voice of the Lebanese singer Sabah.
In 2008, she released a single song (My Life Is My Own), written by Elie Bitar, composed by Georges Mardonsian, and arranged by Roger Khoury. It was filmed in a video clip with director Walid Nassif.
In 2009, I filmed the song “New Universe” with director Adel Sarhan, and it is a social song that simulates peace among the peoples of the world.
