Biography, Life story
Alaa Morsi was born on July 3, 1965, in the city of Desouk, Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, northern Egypt. His father, Sheikh Morsi Al-Damrawy, was a scholar at Al-Azhar University. He has two brothers and two sisters. He spent part of his early life in Medina, Saudi Arabia, and after his father’s death, he completed his primary education in Desouk. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the High Institute of Dramatic Arts, Department of Acting and Directing, graduating in 1998. He began his artistic career in 1989 and has numerous theatrical works. He has also participated in acting and directing Kuwaiti plays such as (Aila Qargian, Tartangi, Group Boukhly). He is fond of Syrian drama and worked in a drama titled (Layl Al-Sarar) and appeared in the Moroccan series (Cairo Blanca), which aired during Ramadan 2016 on the Moroccan Second Channel. Alaa Morsi is married and has three children: Mariam, Mohamed, and Fatima.
