Her mother, Deirdre Radford “Didi,” was born in Scotland and converted to Conservative Judaism before marrying Monty. Alicia has two half-siblings: a half-sister, Kezi Silverstone, a rock singer in London, and a half-brother, David Silverstone, both from her father’s previous marriage.

Alicia started modeling at the age of six and appeared in several commercials, including for Domino’s Pizza. She gained recognition for playing Jessica, the dream girl, in an episode of *The Wonder Years* in 1992. She landed her first major film role in *The Crush* (1993), where she portrayed a teenager who tries to ruin the life of an older man after he rejects her. At 15, she began working under strict filming schedules and later appeared in films such as *Torch Song* (1993) and *Cool and the Crazy* (1994). Alicia caught public attention through her appearances in Aerosmith music videos for songs like *Cryin*, *Amazing* (1993), and *Crazy* (1994), earning her the nickname “Aerosmith Girl.” Her breakthrough came with the hit movie *Clueless* (1995), which led to a $10 million deal with Columbia TriStar. In the same year, she starred in *The Babysitter* and gained more fame for her role as Batgirl in *Batman & Robin* (1997), despite the film’s poor reception.
