Amanda Seyfried was born on December 3, 1985, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States. She studied at Fordham University. She began her career as a child model at the age of 11 in 1995. In 2004, she had her film debut in Mean Girls, then starred in independent films like Nine Lives in 2005 and Alpha Dog in 2006. She had a recurring role in the series Veronica Mars and played Sarah Henrickson in Big Love from 2006 to 2011. She later had her most significant role in the highly successful musical film Mamma Mia!. Her other films include Jennifer’s Body in 2009, Dear John in 2010, and Red Riding Hood in 2011. She portrayed Cosette in the musical film Les Misérables in 2012 and played Linda Lovelace in the film Lovelace released in 2013.
