Amy Jackson was born on January 31, 1992, in Douglas, a town in the Isle of Man, under the British Crown. She has English parents; her father’s name is Alan Jackson, who works as a producer for BBC Merseyside, and her mother’s name is Margarita Jackson. She has a sister named Alicia Jackson. Amy obtained ten GCSEs and then went on to sixth form to study English language and literature, philosophy, and ethics.

Her first appearance in Indian cinema, particularly in Tamil films, was considered her primary debut, and she started her artistic career at the age of 16 immediately after graduating from university.

She won the title of Miss Teen Liverpool and Miss Teen Great Britain, and then won the title of Miss Teen World in 2009. She was also crowned Miss Liverpool in 2010. She participated in the Miss England competition in 2010 but lost the title to Jessica Linley in the finals. She won eighteen awards, which included a $50,000 scholarship contract for merging in the United States.

Her talent was discovered by filmmaker Vijay, who offered her a lead role in one of his films in 2010.
