Biography, Life story
Anoushka was born in 1960 in the New Egypt neighbourhood of Cairo, Egypt’s capital, to an Egyptian father of Armenian descent and an Armenian mother. She attended Armenian Kalosdian schools in the Boulac Abu Al-Ala neighbourhood from nursery to high school, and then attended the American University Department of Secretarial and Business Management. She worked as an employee of a foreign investment company, and then at Tariq Noor Advertising Company as an advertising singer.
Anoushka began her singing career when she participated in a French song in a global competition organized by VEDOV with some Egyptians and won the first place. One of the requirements of the festival was that whoever succeeds in the festival is adopted by radio and television. Accordingly, she recorded her first television songs with a song for an Arabic language programme directed by Fahmi Abdel Hamid.
Anoushka began participating in the World Singing Festivals, where, in 1987 and 1988, she participated in Finnish, Czechoslovak, Bulgarian, Turkish and Latin American festivals, winning the third prize at the Turkish Song Festival with a song (Sweetheart), and in France she won the top prize of the Festival of la Francophonie for a song (Yahbibi) From her solicitation, and a song (Yalil) from the musical bar praised Al-Khouli and they are in French as a condition of this festival.
Anoushka released several albums and songs, as well as marking the opening ceremony of the 1997 U17 Football World Cup, the closing ceremony of the Handball World Cup and the opening ceremony of the Windsorf Sailing World Cup in 2000.
Anoushka also underwent an acting experience, with the late director Salah Abu Saif selecting her to co-star in the film (Mr. K), as well as in the film “Who Fired This Bullet” and the Peacock series, starring in Obret (Roses and Chapters) on Childhood Day, and participating in the Ramadan series in 2009 with artist Khaled al Al Sa Saawi and the Ramadan.
