Dima Kandalaft was born on January 3, 1979 in Damascus, the capital of Syria. I studied at the Faculty of Economics. She is considered one of the generation of Syrian drama actresses in the last ten years. She started singing in the “Joy” choir, then moved to another choir called “The Rainbow”. Her first work with “Bashar Zarqan” appeared in the mural “Mahmoud Darwish”. She then joined the band “Safar” (a band consisting of nine people), and they held a concert in Lebanon. Syrian TV showed some of the band’s songs. She attended the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts. She started acting in the play “Song of the Moon” by Sahar Marqadah. After that, she worked with Samer Al-Masry and Basil Khayyat in the play Abyad-Aswad, then she worked with Abed Fahd in the TV series (Abyad Abyad). She participated in the first and second parts of the Bab Al-Hara series.
