Elham Shaheen was born on January 03, 1962 in Cairo, Egypt. She obtained a BA from the Institute of Dramatic Arts, Department of Acting, in 1982. She began her artistic career when director Kamal Yassin presented her in the play Houria Min Mars. She started her cinematic life through the movie “Mothers in Exile” in 1981, after which she presented many films, and her roles grew into starring roles.
Elham Shaheen is considered one of the most famous Egyptian artists who sparked widespread controversy after the January 25 revolution, when the revolutionaries attacked her because of her visit to the ousted president at the World Medical Center.
