Emilia Clarke was born on October 26, 1986, in London, the capital of England in the United Kingdom, and grew up in Berkshire. Her father is a sound engineer in theaters, and her mother is a businesswoman. Her younger brother studies politics. She graduated from St. Edward’s School in Oxford from 2000 to 2005 and also attended the Ray St. Anthony School. She studied at the Drama Center in London and graduated in 2009.

She began her acting career by performing in two plays at St. Edward’s and performed ten plays at the Drama Center in London produced by the Angels Company in 2009.
