Gigi Hadid was born on 23 April 1995 in Los Angeles, California, United States. Her parents married in 1994 and divorced years later. Her father is the billionaire Palestinian real estate emperor Mohammad Anwar Hadid, and her sister is model Bella Hadid. Her father took refuge in Syria in 1948 during the Palestinian War, studied law there at a university, then worked for a British real estate company based in Syria, then moved to Washington, and studied at North Carolina State University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother, Yolanda Foster, is a decor engineer and former Dutch model, who has become famous in recent years after starring in the reality TV series (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills).
When Gigi Hadid was two years old she took part in Baby Guy ads. She started modeling in 2011. She graduated from Malibu High School at the age of 17 in 2012, then moved to New York City to start studying and follow modelling, and in 2014 participated in New York Fashion Week, also appeared in several klipat videos, completing her path towards global fashion weeks in a number of brands and fashion houses.
