Habiba Basiony was born in Chicago, Illinois, where she spent her childhood and much of her youth. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Chicago and a Master’s degree in International Journalism and Broadcasting from City University London. She is fluent in English, Arabic, Spanish, Italian, and French.

She began her artistic career in 2011, initially working for a few months as an intern on Quintessentially TV in London. She then joined the program Foreign Desk on Sky News. From 2012 to 2014, she participated in various media and cultural events. In 2014, she worked for four months at Al Jazeera Media Network – Jeem TV before moving on to become a presenter at Dubai Media Incorporated, where she worked for over two years. She then served as a reporter for Al Hurra channel before becoming a presenter at the same network.

In 2016, she joined the team of the program Nafsena on Cairo and the People channel alongside actress Intesar, actress Hedy Karam, and actress Badreya Taleb, gaining a wide fanbase. However, she did not remain with the program for long.

In 2017, she hosted the program Spotlight on OSN, which airs every Thursday at 5:30 PM, covering major cinematic events and happenings worldwide.
