Hanan Shawqi was born on March 16, 1967 in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. Her real name is Sayeda Amin Ahmed. Her artistic debut was in children’s programs on radio and television while she was still an 8-year-old girl. She participated in the famous radio program (Ghinwa and His Story), which It was presented by Abla Fadila, who she took from Sheikh Khaled Elementary School in Shubra, after which she participated in singing in a number of TV programs. She was still a student when she participated in the play (Fares and Bani Khaiban) and some parts of the series (Nights of Dream). She graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1990. Among her most famous works are the series (Nights of Dream), the series (The Scrooge and I), and the movie (Blood on the Asphalt).
In 1987, she participated in the play (Fares and Bani Khaiban) with Samir Ghanem.
From 1988 to 1995, she participated in the series (Nights of Dreams), parts 2, 3, 4, 5, as “Qamar Al-Samahi”.
In 1991, she participated in the series (The Scrooge and I), opposite Farid Shawqi, as “Firdaws”, the character who won the audience’s sympathy.
