Julia Roberts was born on October 28, 1967 in Smyrna, Georgia, United States. She studied at Georgia State University. Because of her love of animals, she wished to be a veterinarian, but later studied the press. When her brother Eric Roberts had success in Hollywood, she decided to try acting. She first appeared in the 1988 film Mystic Pizza, and that same year in the film Satisfaction. She then made one of her most famous films, Pretty Woman, in 1990, and then played different roles in the following years, but fans liked her roles in romantic comedies more. Since then she has made several successful films, including “The Wedding of My Best Friend” in 1997, “Notting Hill” and “The Fugitive Bride” in 1999, “The Ocean Twelve” in 2004 and “Valentine’s Day” in 2010. Julia earns more than $2.4 billion in revenue on the ticket windows, making her one of the most successful actors in terms of ticket windows revenue.
After a short-lived marriage, Julia Roberts was known for some emotional engagements with other actors. Contributed to several UNICEF philanthropic organizations and visited many countries, such as Haiti and India, to promote goodwill.
