Biography, Life story
Mahmoud Abdel Aziz was born on 4 June 1946 in Wardian neighbourhood west of Alexandria, Egypt. He belonged to an average family. He learned in neighbourhood schools, then moved to the University of Alexandria College of Agriculture, there he began to practice a hobby acting through the theatre team of the College of Agriculture. He received a bachelor’s degree and then a master’s degree in beekeeping. His artistic career began in the early 1970s in drama through the series “The Whirlwind” and in cinema through the film “The Grandson” was a classic of Egyptian cinema in 1974, and his journey with starring began in 1975 when he starred in the film “Until the Last Age”, in six years starring in 25 film films, during which time he continued to perform roles related to youth, romance, love and adventures.
Mahmoud Abdelaziz began diversifying in his roles since 1982, introducing the film Shame, which established his stardom, and then playing the father in the film Virgin and White Poetry. In the film “Forgery in Official Papers”, he then played the Egyptian intelligence agent and spy in the film “Death Dead”, introducing new characters in the film “Saqalik and Kev”, which had great mass success. In 1987 he presented “Innocent”, one of his most important films, and in the mid-1980s he played an important role in his artistic life through his role in the television series Rafat al-Hijan, an Egyptian intelligence file.
Mahmoud Abdelaziz’s films numbered about 84 in which he starred, varying between comedy and reality romances, while he directed one film, “The Sweet Girl of Kadaba”. In 2004 he presented the television series (Mahmoud al-Masri), in which he embodied the character of a businessman who began their journey with success from Alexandria.
Mahmoud Abdel Aziz died on November 12, 2016, after a struggle with the disease at the age of 70, and was buried at the graves of Jabiba’s mother in al-Wardayan near his home, where he grew up and was raised.
