Meryl Streep was born on June 22, 1949 in New Jersey, USA. She has attended Vassar College since 1971, and has attended Yale University since 1975. She has a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Fine Arts degree.
She started working in art in 1971. She is considered one of the best actresses alive today, and she has the amazing ability to master all dialects, and she states that she does this thanks to the help of the language trainers she deals with. She was distinguished in playing many roles, which made her worthy of the title of Living Legend. She is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
She had fallen in love with American actor John Cazale, who died of cancer.

She won three awards from those nominations. The first was Best Supporting Actress in 1980 for her role in Kramer vs. Kramer.
