Nagwa Fouad was born on January 6, 1943, in Alexandria, northern Egypt. She started as a dancer in halls and later combined dance and acting, starring in several films. She later established a film production company and produced many films in which she starred, including “Alf Bousa w Bousa” and “Had Al-Saif.” She acted in plays such as “Bidaya w Nihaya” and “La Al-Afarit Al-Zarq.” She also performed dance shows like “Qamar 14” composed by Mohamed Abdel Wahab and “Laylat Al-Dukhla.” Additionally, she worked in television through the series “Aashat Bayn Asabi’a.” She is considered one of the actresses with the most appearances in films, and despite her recurring roles as a dancer, she tried to establish herself as an actress, especially in the film “Had Al-Saif.” She has received cinematic awards from several institutions that hold festivals. She announced her retirement from dancing in 1998.
