Biography, Life story
Robert De Niro was born on 17 August 1943 in New York City in the United States. His father is Robert De Niro Sr. a painter, sculptor and poet of Italian descent, and his mother is called Virginia Admiral. He received his primary education at Little Reed School, and his comrades called him “bobby milk” because of his slim body and soft features, and his mother then introduced him to Music and Arts High School in New York State. He was expelled at the age of 13. When he was 18, he travelled to Paris.
Robert De Niro made his first film role in 1963 when he turned 20 in the 1969 film The Decade of the Couple. In the 1960s, most of his work was in theatre. He received a minor role in a French film called “Three Rooms in Manhattan” in 1965, and later appeared in the first film After Union with De Palma in 1968 in “Greetings”, and again in “Hello My Mother” in 1970.
Robert De Niro gained great popularity after playing a baseball player in the 1973 film Hit Drum Slowly. That same year he started another successful act when he acted in The Lousy Streets. Several successful works followed: Taxi Driver (1976), New York, New York (1977), Raging Bull (1980), King of Comedy (1983), Godfilaz (1990), Ras of Fear (1991), Casino (1995).
In 1974 Robert De Niro played a character (Don Vito Corleone) in the young stage of the film (The Godfather Part II). In 1976 he appeared with Gerard Depardio in the film 1900, also called Novicento. In 1978 he played Michael Fronsky in deer hunter about the Vietnam War. He also appeared in a notable role in the film “Once Upon a Time in America” in 1984. He then made several other successful films, most notably: Real Confessions (1981), Falling in Love (1984), Brazil (1985), Mission (1986), Untouchables (1987), Heat (1995), Ronen (1998), analysed (1999), Met Parents (2000). He is now considered one of the best actors in American cinema history for ages.
