Rola Ibrahim was born in the capital city of Damascus, Syria. It is from Tartus province, which is located on the Mediterranean coast in Syria. She is the only girl in her family, her father is deceased, and she has two brothers. Graduated from the Faculty of Law at Damascus University. She worked in Damascus Radio, then joined Syrian Television, then moved to Russia Today and worked for a short time, then to Kuwait’s Al Rai Channel. She eventually joined Al Jazeera in Qatar, which is based in the Qatari capital of Doha, presents major news releases and is one of the channel’s strongest interlocutors. She was pressured by her attitude towards the Syrian revolution and her work on Al Jazeera.
