Biography, Life story

Shams

Shams Al Kuwaiti was born on April 28, 1980 in Hafar Al-Batin, Saudi Arabia. She is from a Saudi father and a Kuwaiti mother, and she holds the Ivory Coast passport, because she works as an ambassador. Her artistic career began in the year 2000 when she signed a contract with Renad Audio Company, which released her first album entitled “Habib Al-Ward”, which quickly spread in the Arab Gulf countries and beyond to various Arab countries. Shams presented her songs in the Gulf dialect and with simple words, with which the wide Arab audience interacted, similar to the songs of the “Seven Times” album. In 2007, Shams released two albums, in two versions, the first in the Gulf dialect and the second in the Egyptian dialect, “Shams Khaleeji” and “Shams Masri”, produced by the American Surprise Company, and she is the first Arab artist to sign a contract with an American company. A large group of writers in the Gulf and Egypt took turns writing the lyrics for the songs in the Gulf and Egypt, as well as in the melodies and distribution, containing 22 songs, 12 Egyptian songs and ten Gulf songs. It was preceded only by the artist Michael Jackson and the movie Titanic. Shams filmed a number of her songs in a video clip, including the song “Million” from her album “Shams Khaleeji”, and it is the second song in the Gulf dialect that she filmed after the song “A Complicated Painting”. The song was written by Mansour Al-Fadhli, composed by Abdul Qadir Hadhoud and directed by Fadi Haddad. Filming took place in Lebanon.
