Somaya ElKhashab was born on October 20, 1966 in Alexandria, northern Egypt. She graduated from the Faculty of Commerce, University of Alexandria in 1987. At first she worked in the field of tourism and banking, studied music at the Conservatoire in Alexandria, and was preparing to enter the world of art as a subject, but suddenly entered the world of acting after the directors chose her to participate in more than one film, Also, the Egyptian actor, Salah Al-Saadani, advised her to focus on acting and to postpone the singing step. She started her artistic career in 1998 through small roles in a group of series, such as: (Al-Hisab) series in 1998 with Salah Al-Saadani, and the series (Playing in Content) in 1998 with Youssef Shaaban and Hala Sidqi, and the series (Hazrat Al-Muhtarim) in 1999 about the story of For writer Naguib Mahfouz. Then she participated in the series (Al-Hajj Metwally) in 2001 with Nour Al-Sharif, a series that marked the beginning of her launch into the world of fame and stardom. Then the series (Meeting on the Air) in 2004 as the presenter with Yousra. Among her most prominent cinematic works: (Heena Maysara) in 2007 and (Al-Rayes Omar Harb) in 2008. But she later stated that she was actually secretly married to a famous Arab businessman whose name she did not reveal. She refused to reveal his name, but she separated from him because of his insistence that she retire from art.
The third marriage: She stated that she married for love a pilot she met in Alexandria, but soon separated from him. As he stated The Lebanese singer Badr Al-Shaeri said that before her husband from Ahmed Saad she had a relationship with him for a short period, but he divorced her as soon as he learned of her relationship with Ahmed Saad, and he also stated that she married Ahmed Saad before the end of the waiting months, while she denied the existence of any relationship between him and her.
