Sonam Kapoor was born on June 9, 1985, in the Chimpur area of Maharashtra, India. She is the eldest daughter of her father, Anil Kapoor, and her mother, Sunita, of Sindhi origin, has three brothers. She studied political science and economics from the University of East London, speaking English, Hindi, Punjabi and Marathi.
Sonam Kapoor began her life in Bollywood with Ranbir Kapoor, which was also his first entry into Bollywood, and began appearing in fashion shows and magazines as a magazine (GQ India) Indian version of the global magazine (GQ).
