Tahra Hmimich was born on 26 September 1989 in the eastern Moroccan city of Jeddah. She studied literature specializing in Arabic. Her vocal talent came out at the age of seven, she began singing Arabic and Classical songs. She stood on the stage of the University Theatre and the theatres of cultural clubs in the city of Jeddah, specializing in singing Andalusian chants and anthems. She was loved by a large audience when she appeared on the reality show Star Academy in its seventh edition in 2010 on Lebanon’s LBC channel, where through her talent for acting and dancing she managed to reach the qualifiers before the final but came out with a slight margin from the first winner two weeks before the competition ended.
One of her most prominent songs is the lyrics and tunes of Moroccan singer Huda Saad (Ayoh with his love) in the Egyptian dialect of the lyrics of Osama Mahrez, and the tunes of Bilal Surur, (Hiplini) of the lyrics and tunes of the artist Abdullahi Al-Ghawi, which have been very successful.
