Biography, Life story<\/h2>\n

Kadim Al Sahir was born on September 12, 1957 in the city of Mosul in Iraq. He is known to have composed all his songs himself so far, with the exception of some very few songs in which he used other composers. He has many titles, the most important of which are \u201cAmbassador of the Iraqi Song\u201d and \u201cCaesar of the Arabic Song,\u201d which was given to him by the late Syrian poet Nizar Qabbani. He has two sons, Wissam and Omar, and a granddaughter who is older than his son, Wissam. Kadim was raised in a very small house in the midst of a family consisting of 7 brothers, Abbas, Hassan, Hussein, Ali, Muhammad, Salem, Ibrahim, and two sisters, Amira and Fatima. When he was young, the family moved from the city of Mosul to Freedom district in Baghdad by virtue of his father’s work.
